After a 35 year career in computers, Mary retired to the country and became a writer. She published her first book, an anthology of life stories, Topics to Write About in 2007. Her memoir, Life Without Ceilings: A Woman’s Career in Computers, was published in late 2016.
Mary currently lives in the Sierra Nevada foothills with her horse, Grey, and her two dogs, Tasha and Darrin.
The title of this blog is a tribute to her lifetime of pursuing different interests. As a young person she wanted to be a scientist. Then after graduating from college, she became a computer programmer. Horses entered her life when she was 45 and provided the bridge between her career in computers and her writing career.
